45 Years
President Bill Davids – It is with humble thankfulness that I am celebrating my 45th anniversary here at Clarence Davids & Co. I praise God for the wonderful opportunity to do what I love with such passion for so long! I’m so thankful to my father also for
teaching me to love what you do and time will fly by. Work will not seem like work because it is your passion. He was exactly right. Work has been such a blessing to me. I am so thankful to you, our clients, for putting your faith and trust in me and our team.

40 Years
Gary Borgman – It’s not very often that an employee works for one company for their entire career, but that is exactly what Gary has done. He was a college intern who was hired on full-time right after graduation. Gary earned his bachelor’s degree from Trinity
Christian College in accounting. He has handled all of the company accounting, taxes, insurance and payroll for 40 years. Gary has taught all of us to be better purchasers and more conscious with all of our financial decisions. After a long and distinguished career, he will be retiring this year. We owe him our gratitude for four decades of faithful, reliable accounting services. It is our prayer that Gary and his wife Sheryl enjoy many years of retirement in health and happiness together.
35 Years
Benito Gonzalez is a soft spoken, friendly, dedicated landscape maintenance foreman at our Matteson office. Benito oversees many large multifamily townhome developments including their yearly landscape maintenance and snow services. Thank you, Benito, for 35 years of service. Congratulations!F
Ed Hoffman started with Clarence Davids & Co. as a college intern. He proved himself worthy of a permanent position after he graduated from University of Illinois with a degree in ornamental horticulture. Ed is a certified arborist and holds many licenses. Ed manages the Matteson office maintenance and lawn care divisions. He is also responsible for the snow operation out of the Matteson office which services many downtown Chicago clients. Ed is known for his big smile and “can do” attitude. Thank you, Ed, for your many years of dedicated service!
Jaime Rojas is a maintenance foreman at the Ingleside branch. He has demonstrated reliability and tenacity through his long career with Clarence Davids & Co. Jaime’s work record is a credit to him. His supervisor says he lightens the load for the whole

Manuel Palato, a landscape foreman at our Matteson office, greets every client and staff member with a joyful attitude and a big warm smile. He is a genuine person and a delight to work with. Manuel has 35 years of experience in annual color and

Salvador Alvarez has proven himself instrumental to Clarence Davids & Co. through his flexibility, positivity and professionalism. Through the course of his career he has worked at each branch to fill their needs. Salvador is now a great production manager
for maintenance and snow at the Ingleside office. Overseeing these departments with his veteran skills and distinctive touch, he teaches his crews the importance of excellence and customer satisfaction. Congratulations, Salvador, for 35 Years of

25 Years
Cayetano Garcia is a seasoned landscape foreman at the Ingleside branch. Both our employees and clients enjoy working with Cayetano. He always comes to work with a “can do” attitude and strives to do his best work every day. Here’s to 25 more years!
Brian Walsh, Plainfield project manager, represents the type of employee on which Clarence Davids & Co. prides itself. Starting in the yard 25 years ago, Brian’s work ethic made it clear he needed to be in the field. Brian quickly went from laborer, to foreman, to landscape project manager. He oversees all types of installations. Brian is a favorite with crews and clients for his fun-loving nature while maintaining high expectations.
20 Years
Alejandro Acuna is now a landscape maintenance foreman after working for 19 years on a crew. Alejandro is a key employee for us during the winter for snow removal. Thank you, Alejandro, for your perseverance and loyalty to Clarence Davids & Co!
Andres Garcia started with Clarence Davids & Co. as a landscape maintenance crew member and shortly thereafter proved his skill as a mechanic. He was quickly promoted. Andres is responsible for the maintenance of our trucks, trailers and all of our equipment. Thank you, Andres, for keeping our engines running. Congratulations

Frank Babcock is a graduate of Oklahoma State. He is our branch manager, nursery and production manager for our Ingleside office and facility. Frank was instrumental in purchasing and remodeling the Ingleside office. Frank manages all operations and clients for the facility. Everyone enjoys Frank’s hometown roots from
Oklahoma.
Jesus Pena is a landscape foreman in the Matteson office. He is a very seasoned, well-trained foreman who has worked on some of our most unique and detailed projects. His expertise includes installing complex roof top amenity decks for our residential
high-rise clients in the city of Chicago. Many of our clients have commented on how hard he and his crew work. Jesus, congratulations on 20 years!
Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez has been with Clarence Davids & Co. for 20 years as a landscape maintenance crew member out of our Matteson office. He is a very dependable hard worker. Jose works alongside of his father, Fidel, and brother, Octavio, from Ingleside. We appreciate you, Jose!
Luis Pacheco is a maintenance crew member at our Plainfield office. He brings 20 years of experience to our maintenance division. Luis is a resourceful and versatile asset to the team. He is an important part of our snow and ice removal services. He fills in as a swing crew foreman from time to time and also helps our mechanics out when needed. Thank you, Luis, for 20 great years!

15 Years
Abbie Lydon, a valuable member of our Matteson design team, is celebrating 15 years with Clarence Davids & Co. A University of Illinois graduate in Landscape Architecture, Abbie excels in annual color and perennial designs. She is also an instrumental contributor to our yearly prestigious U.S. Open Golf Championship project. Thank you, Abbie, for 15 years of creativity and dedication!
Alan Watkins has a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Illinois and a Master of Business Administration from Northern Illinois University. Alan has played an important role in developing our IT equipment, software and website development, along with our estimating program which we still utilize today. Alan manages several key clients and has done some of our largest and most detailed landscape installations working with architectural firms. Alan has been reliable and dependable for any special projects we present him with. We are so thankful and
excited he will be getting married in March!
Jaime Garibay is celebrating 15 years with Clarence Davids & Co. as a mechanic in the corporate garage. Jaime is a skilled welder. He is friendly and has a great personality. Jaime uses his talents to rebuild and maintain our auto bodies. Thanks for all your hard work!
Leonel Marquez is a lawn care foreman at our Plainfield office who has logged 15 years of dedicated service. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field. He applies fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides and insecticides. He also is a key member of our snow and ice removal team during the winter months. He clears and salts miles of sidewalks.
